Make the Right Decisions for a Better Life
Life, this one world is such a heavy connotation, to some it is a negative connotation, to some it is a positive connotation. You already know what a connotation means, but for your better understanding, I must explain, connotation means a word which carries an intense thought; positive/ negative symbols or emotion, with deeper literary meaning, than what it seems.
So, whether the word ‘life’ will hold a positive or negative connotation depends on your choices. The equation is simple, if you make the right choices, it is a positive connotation and if you failed to make the right choices, it is a negative connotation. You see, your choices grasp so much power, over changing the whole meaning of your life.
If you do not know, what are the actual right choices you should make for a better life, it is fine, because this why I am here, writing this article for you. So let’s jump into the steps of filtering out the right choice.
Know what you want for life, and you will meet the right choices.
Be confident at the amount of knowledge you have, but never hesitate to gain more knowledge. Never feel like you know nothing, or never feel like you know it all. While making a decision, know your strength and weaknesses. Know what will benefit you and what might harm you.
Sylvia Plath mentions in Bell Jar, “I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor…
I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet.” Now, tell me do you really want your life to be like that, or are you going to stand up and grab the figs, know that choosing one fig doesn’t mean losing another, you just have to chose, one by one, know your priorities and choose accordingly.
Make selective exposure, stay away from depression, and focus on making right choices.
Depression is the biggest reason, you get distracted, and depression itself is caused from distraction. Such a grave riddle, isn’t it?
So, from “Make selective exposure” I mean be positive, keep distance from people and placed which will bring your spirit down, who doesn’t know your value. Avoid negativity, look at Kim Kardashian, most of the people are usually talking about how untalented she is, but look at her, she is still the person, how is followed by the media and fame.
I am not a big fan of Kim Kardashian, but I like the way she avoids yet handle things.
Be a good person; make sure your concept of right choice do not harm others.
There might be many people, who are related to your choices, so make sure, you do not harm anyone. There are choices you make which can be profitable, which may only prove a benefit for a while, but may cease your conscience forever.
A right choice is not always about profits, it is about how you feel about yourself and your life.
Do not be too arrogant, while making choices.
Please, do not be like Charlie Sheen, you will end up losing all you have gained. Be humble towards your life and achievements, I am not asking you to change, I am just suggesting you, not to be overconfident.
Be confident, and you will be able to make right choices.
Do not confuse yourself, when I am asking you to be confident, yet suggesting you not to be over confident. One adverb can change the whole meaning, like what ‘over’ did here. There is a fine line between confidence and overconfidence. Be confident, know yourself, and know that you will mange making a right decision.
You came so far, you can make it through. Your right choice depends on you, so be confident, step ahead and make the right choice.
Accept your blunders; stop regretting, know that those mistakes taught you to make right choices.
No one is perfect, so expecting a faultless decision every time can be harmful for you. You are supposed to recognize the right choices through the journey of wrong choices you made earlier. Wrong choices are good only if we are not talking about drugs and murders, in specific. Your ridiculous ex boyfriend/girlfriend, which you refer to your worst decision in life, also has taught you so much, at least now you know, how not be stupid. Even if you have a series ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, it is still fine, you have learned so much from them, and they have affected your life in so many good and bad ways.
Okay, now if you are thinking about your bad grades, during school and college, or regret about not working hard enough to achieve something, I would like to say, hey! Look at yourself now, you know, not working hard was an error, and now you are so much more focused, in whatever you are doing.
You have so many good qualities in you that buried your bad grades. You have your goals waiting for you a head, go hug your success, stop looking back. The person you used to be created the person you are now.
I hope, this will help you to make right choices, for a better life. Know that being aware is most important, so be informed about your own actions, and make right choices.
